Our Debut

We are SOOO happy to say that the first Little Disco was a success!!  We had a really great time dancing with all of you and your little ones!!  Amy from Fairys and Frogs painted some amazing faces and the balloons from Parties with Pizzaz were great.  Kat from Saille Healing Path said that she didn't think everyone realized that the chair massages were FREE, so be sure to take advantage of them next time!!  Thanks, also, to Elise from Usborne Books & More for the crafts and wonderful selection of books! The music wasn't exactly as we wanted it, but we will have that issue taken care of at next month's event!  Also, let us know if you have any suggestions for February.  We want to make this event the best it can be! Overall, we had a great time and we want to thank all of you for coming out and sharing your afternoon with us!!  See you next month!!

Getting Better Every Day!

I'm so pleased to announce that we will be partnering with some great people and businesses to make The Little Disco the best it can possibly be!!  Amy of Fairys and Frogs will be painting faces. (She does some incredible work, which can be seen on her website.)  In addition, Jasmine from Parties with Pizzazz will be twisting balloons and Kat from Saille Healing Path will be giving some wonderful chair massages to our adult guests! We're still working on a few other deals, too!  I'm getting more excited as the date gets closer and I look forward to having a great time with all of you!

The latest thing we've been working on are the menu items that will be available for purchase at our event (in addition to the free healthy snacks, of course).  I think we've got some good ideas!  We've definitley settled on hot chocolate (with a dash of Kahlua, Amaretto, Gran Marnier, etc for non-driving adults-same goes for coffee) and cookies.  There will also be some rather delicious paninis.  If you've got some picky eaters we will have quesadillas and chicken nuggets, too!  Still working it, so if you have suggestions, please let us know!  We'd love to hear them!

The Beginning

After waiting impatiently for several years for a certain well-known baby disco company to grace Memphis with its presence, I finally decided to get off my bootie and do it myself!!   I am SOOO excited to host the first Little Disco at the Rumba Room on Jan. 29th.  It will be from 2-5 and there will be great kid-friendly music at a kid-friendly level, healthy snacks, coat check, changing stations, stroller parking, crafts and activities and SOOO much fun for both kids (ages 7 and under) and parents!  Tickets can be purchased on our website, www.thelittledisco.com, for $10 per walking person.  If we are not sold out, we will also have a limited number of ticktes available at the door on the day of the event.  We are trying very hard to think of everything and make sure that it is not only a child-friendly, but adult-friendly event.  We are currently compiling our playlist, which includes artists from the Black Eyed Peas to the BeeGees, and we would love to hear any suggestions you might have.  But, what we need the most is for you to help us SPREAD THE WORD!!!  We want this event to be a success so that we can keep hosting them and help to make Memphis a great place to be a kid and a parent.  Invite your friends and fellow parents to meet you there on Jan. 29th for a fantstic playdate!  we would love for you to "like" us Facebook, follow us on Twitter and refer anyone and everyone to our website: www.thelittledisco.com.
